After the success of The Incorruptible, Just Pretending went looking for another Australian play. It needed to have young characters and interesting stories, a small cast and a bit of flair.
Debora Oswald's Sweet Road came through as the front runner and so it was that JP launched into its second production.
With a larger cast than The Incorruptible and a more challenging setting, Sweet Road was going to stretch the team further artistically and organisationally than before.
The return of the two Tom's - Booth and Stringer - gave a familiar look to the cast of 7 and with board members Susannah Chambers and Peter Mattessi taking the stage, JP also welcomed Hugh Holt, Anna Grace Hopkins, and Carly Moorfield to the fold.
Two weeks, two cars and a truck later and Sweet Road wrapped up another successful Just Pretending show with great audiences and another feather in the cap.
